Description:
For a directing course taught by well known director, Lisa Gottlieb, we are seeking young actors and actresses to play parts from the play "This is our Youth" and "Angels in America." We will have one mandatory in class rehearsal and another day of production outside of class. These are the roles we are seeking:
THIS IS OUR YOUTH
DENNIS- 21, ATHLETIC, AGGRESSIVE, COMPETITIVE, DRUG DEALER, POT HEAD, ENERGETIC.
WARREN- 19, INSECURE, A TRIER, HEAVILY INFLUENCED BY DENNIS, AND SOMEWHAT NERDY.
JESSICA- 19, NERVOUS AND DEFENSIVE BUT ALSO FAIRLY CHEERFUL. SHE TAKES AN INTEREST IN WARREN.
ANGELS IN AMERICA
HARPER- JOE'S WIFE, AGORAPHOBIC, HAS A VALIUM ADDICTION, MID 20'S.
PRIOR WALTER- LOUIS' BOYFRIEND. MODEST, BUT HAS GREAT STYLE. GAY AND HAS A DIVA ATTITUDE.
JOE- A MORMON, REPUBLICAN LAWYER, WHO LEAVES HIS WIFE, HARPER, FOR LOUIS.
Additional details: please prepare a 1 minute monologue or ask for sides.
This will take place Thursday, September 29th at the School of Communication in room 2040 from 6-9 PM.
